Capsule Resume

Joseph is a Fisheries Biologist and GIS Specialist with over 7 years of professional experience in aquatic/terrestrial ecology and GIS. Mr. Cavallo has managed numerous projects involving the creation and the restoration of fish habitats throughout southern Ontario. He has worked with multi-disciplinary teams to produce natural, self sustaining stream designs integrating data from various disciplines including biology/ecology, fluvial geomorphology, hydrology, hydrogeology and engineering. In particular, Mr. Cavallo has been involved with the rehabilitation and creation of habitat for redside dace ( Clinostomus elongatus ), a federally and provincially listed species.

Through his previous experience in the public sector with Conservation Authorities in southern Ontario, he has also gained experience with the ecology of stream biota including cold, cool and warm water species, and the function of flowing systems. He is also involved in the management of GIS services using MapInfo, ArcView and AutoCAD, database software and supporting digital imaging software.
