Capsule Resume
Dale has worked extensively in basic and applied research and has over 17 years of experience working in arctic and taiga ecosystems of Alaska. Dale is an experienced scientist, project manager, and research coordinator. He has worked on a wide variety of ecological issues including restoration of disturbed communities, controls of successional patterns in salt marsh communities, studies linking water turbidity and kelp photosynthesis in the Boulder Patch, Stefansson Sound, Alaska, and habitat use by beluga whales in Knik Arm, Upper Cook Inlet, Alaska.
Dale is also experienced with the analysis of impacts from various human activities on plants animals and their environment. He has served as the Coordinator of Alaskan Studies for the Environmental Assessment of the proposed natural gas pipeline from Prudhoe Bay Alaska, to the Mackenzie River Delta, North West Territories, Canada, managed the development of an Environmental Report for the Alaska Region of the Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Program 2002-2007, evaluated potential direct, indirect and cumulative impacts of the Trans Alaska Pipeline Right-of Way Renewal, and he manages all of the vegetation and wetlands work for LGL in Alaska.
