Capsule Resume
Dr. Johnson has worked for LGL as an applied research ecologist for over 30 years, designing and conducting wildlife inventory and monitoring programs in areas of proposed resource development in arctic and subarctic regions of Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Norway and Russia. In recent years (1995-present), he has helped design protection plans and mitigation and monitoring programs for terrestrial and marine birds and mammals in the Beaufort Sea region of Alaska and Canada and in East Siberia and the Okhotsk Sea regions of the Russian Far East. In earlier years (1975-1994) Dr. Johnson initiated long-term marine and coastal waterfowl mitigation and monitoring programs in the Alaskan and Canadian Beaufort Sea as nearshore resource development occurred. Dr. Johnson has authored or co-authored 2 books, over 50 peer-reviewed scientific papers, and written over 100 unpublished reports for public- and private-sector clients. |
