Denis H. Thomson, M.Sc. , is a Vice President and senior partner. He is a marine biologist and has conducted marine field research in the Canadian and Alaskan Arctic, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Atlantic coast from research and charter vessels, shore camps, and ice camps. This work has included studies of the feeding ecology of whales and the ecology and distribution of plankton, benthos, and fish. He has conducted and/or participated in numerous environmental assessments related to effects of shipping, offshore oil and gas exploration and production, and other activities in marine environments. Mr. Thomson has also assessed impacts of the effects of underwater explosives and noise on marine animals for military and other projects. He is an accomplished computer programmer with extensive experience in data processing, statistical analysis, GIS, and mapping as applied to ecological data.
