Geoff Tomlins, Ph.D. is a remote sensing scientist with 16 years of experience in image processing and remote sensing applications. Dr. Tomlins has developed proprietary algorithms for colour enhancement, construction mosaics, linear enhancement, merging of panchromatic and colour imagery, and image compression. His experience includes use of satellite imagery and scanned aerial photography for high accuracy mapping, orthorectification, habitat and land-use classification, coastal and hydrologic monitoring; preparation of high accuracy 1:20,000 scale image-maps; and use of aerial photography for detection of leachate migration. Dr. Tomlins maintains a up- to-date knowledge of all aspects of remote sensing and image processing technology.
