Capsule Resume

Krysia has pursued an interest in wildlife and natural history since a very early age, as a wilderness guide, naturalist and wildlife biologist in both Alberta and British Columbia. She recently completed her MSc looking at the natural history and conservation of a northern species of garter snake including its life history (growth & reproduction), diet, behaviour, and habitat use. She has spent many hours in the field surveying, monitoring (e.g. radio telemetry), processing and analyzing data for various wildlife species (e.g. snakes, amphibians, birds, marine birds & mammals) and habitat areas.

Since joining LGL, Krysia has jumped into several wildlife projects, including natural resource inventories (e.g. amphibian, reptile and bird groups), airport avian monitoring, and proposal writing. She is very passionate about the natural world and the conservation of its inhabitants and is dedicated in her research work towards that goal.
