He return to the University of Alaska in 2004 to complete his degree in Natural Science and minored in GIS. Guy has applied his experience working on Alaskan waters to many projects throughout the state.
Since 2005 Guy has been involved with a mark recapture program on the Copper River in south-central Alaska. Tracking sockeye salmon distribution and run timing using radio-telemetry is one of the techniques used on the Copper River. He has been an integral part in all areas (tag application, tracking and analysis) of these studies. In addition to working in the fisheries, Guy has been involved with beluga whale monitoring in the upper region of Cook Inlet, Alaska. Guy spends much of his time in the Anchorage office helping other biologists with the mapping and analyzing of their data using GIS.
