Capsule Resume
Peter is a marine ecologist by training and has over 25 years of experience in environmental research, monitoring, impact assessment and environmental management. He specializes in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and relational database technology and has over 15 years experience with GIS and geomatics. He has developed GIS models and algorithms for diverse environmental applications including oil spill sensitivity, wildlife habitat capability, marine ecological classification, gap analysis, identification of valued marine areas, fish habitat capability, wave energy estimation, estimation of wildlife densities, and route selection.
Peter has over 15 years experience related to marine oil spills, spill response, spill preparedness and siting/routing of infrastructure for oil exploration and development including development of environmental sensitivity models, preparation of oil spill response atlases, monitoring fate and effects of oil during spills, and various studies to monitor fate and effects studies of oil in aquatic environments.
He has a demonstrated ability to compile, synthesize and analyze rapidly changing and complex data for presentation in formats that are readily understood and useful for decision-making. |
