Capsule Resume
Ben joined LGL after completing his Master's of Science degree at the University of Alaska where his thesis work concerned the growth dynamics of juvenile yellowfin sole and northern rock sole in the eastern Bering Sea. While at LGL, he has split his time between conducting research on two multi-year projects evaluating salmon ecology in Norton Sound, Alaska, with a strong emphasis on the early life history of juvenile chum salmon and assisting other staff with data analysis. Ben has been involved in a variety of field investigations, many involving surveys of aquatic habitats and has participated in monitoring of commercial fisheries. He actively participates in both field investigations and subsequent report compilation.
