Colin Jones is a Wildlife Biologist based in Happy Valley-Goose Bay,
Labrador. He has extensive experience in designing and implementing ecological studies in remote
areas such as central Labrador and is competent in the identification and quantification of vegetation,
as well as has a broad base of experience extending from marine invertebrates to small mammals and
ungulates to songbirds and waterfowl. Examples of his experience in Labrador includes previous
baseline surveys (furbearers) in the Lower Churchill River area, GIS analyses of wetlands and
waterfowl in the Mealy Mountain National Park Study Area of Labrador, and an assessment of the
population status, distribution and various ecological aspects of sensitive wildlife species (e.g.,
woodland caribou, river otter, harlequin duck). |
