Capsule Resume
Krysia has pursued an interest in wildlife and natural history since a very early age, as a wilderness guide, naturalist and wildlife biologist in both Alberta and British Columbia. Her master’s work looked at the natural history and conservation of a northern species of garter snake including its life history (growth & reproduction), diet, behaviour, and habitat use. During this project she spent many hours in the field surveying, monitoring (e.g., radio-telemetry), processing and analyzing data for various wildlife species (e.g. snakes, amphibians, birds)
Since joining LGL, Krysia has had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of wildlife projects ranging from terrestrial mollusc, amphibian and reptile surveys to marine mammal monitoring. Other projects she has contributed to include proposal writing, natural resource inventories (e.g. terrestrial wildlife groups), airport avian monitoring, and reservoir wildlife monitoring. She is very passionate about the natural world and the conservation of its inhabitants and is dedicated in her research work towards that goal. |
