Capsule Resume

Benjamin Cox has over 10 years of experience working in fisheries management throughout the Columbia Basin. Most recently, he worked on spring and fall Chinook Salmon fishery management in the lower Columbia River, specifically forecasting adult returns for fishery planning, projecting Chinook returns in real time for in-season management, estimating harvest in mixed-stock fisheries, and estimating annual returns of fall Chinook through run reconstruction. Preceding work on White Sturgeon stock assessments in lower Columbia River impoundments included leading field crews for setline sampling, assisting with data management, and estimating White Sturgeon abundance and survival from mark-recapture data. Past work has included research characterizing population dynamics of invasive lake trout in Montana and juvenile salmonid monitoring in Snake River tributaries.
