Riley Waytes, R.P.Bio., is a terrestrial ecologist based in LGL’s Sidney office. His research interests involve understanding the effects of anthropogenic activities on native species and ecosystem health. As an ecologist with LGL Limited, his work involves wildlife surveys, insect collection and identification, and vegetation and substrate surveys. As a graduate student at the University of Calgary, he led research on native and managed pollinators in southern Alberta. He has collaborated on research projects with institutions in the U.S. and Canada, including the University of Calgary, the University of California-Berkeley, Michigan State University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also a member of the College of Applied Biology.
